Little Cub Early Learning and Care Centre is hosted by Prince George Native Friendship Centre in Lheidli T’enneh territory, Prince George.
Our program is committed to providing culturally rich early learning programming to urban Indigenous families. Our families are primarily residing in the Aboriginal Housing Society complex. Our Parent Advisory Committee meets every couple months and helps create the cultural calendar.
Languages shared in the program include Babine-Witsuwit’en (Northern Carrier) and Michif. Métis, Inuit and First Nations Culture is woven into all areas of programming.
Elders and Cultural teachers visit to provide culturally relevant art activities, storytelling, and Indigenous foods.
As an urban Indigenous community within the city of Prince George, we are located right next to Elders’ Housing, so we can program together.
