We would like to say a big MAARSII!!! to Métis Nation British Columbia for gifting each AHS program in the province a special bin of gifts their resource team created for each program. MNBC also has these resource bins at Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) centres across the province, for any other programs wanting to introduce Métis resources into their programming.

Introducing:
“Aansaamb aen kiskayhtaamaahk Learning Together”
“Aansaamb aen kiskayhtaamaahk – Learning Together” (Heritage Michif, translated by Norman Fleury) is a learning guide, resource kit and set of development workshops.
These two workshops provide additional opportunities to support incorporating Métis specific teachings within early learning programming, promoting learning environments in which Métis culture is recognized and celebrated.
Session One:
Session One provides a brief foundational overview of who the Métis are and why it is important to include Métis content and pedagogy in early childhood education.

Session Two:
Introduces the Métis Core Values related to learning. It also addresses the concept of cultural safety, sharing strategies on to creating a culturally safe learning environment to support the well-being of all children.
Session two will provide connection to a Regional Navigator who will set-up a third session to explore the kits with you in person.
